Small-time horse trainer Bill Binyon (Rod Cameron) befriends rookie jockey Mike Gargan (Ben Cooper). the two quickly find that between Binyon’s keen eye for racing strategy and Gargan’s raw talent, they make a formidable team. It isn’t long before they climb up the ranks of the equestrian world - but things go haywire in a hurry when they get tangled with the buxom Janet Wales (Julie London), an attractive-but-greedy blond who plays both Bill and Mike, driving the two friends apart and to the brink of ruin. Angry at each other, but desperate, the two have one last chance to recapture success, but the scheming Janet has her own plans and is sure to cause trouble.
